This year we anticipate the enrollment of over 1900 kids and 170 teams in the region. This includes our Matrix AYSO Club players as well. We are the largest youth sports program in San Marcos.

Gerhard Sagasser and a handful of interested parents gave San Marcos its soccer start with 292 players on 22 teams. In December 1978, San Marcos had enough players to become a chartered region of AYSO, known as Region 127. In the 1990's, we averaged over 875 players on 76 teams.
A Spring Indoor Season was added to our program in 1994 with 200 players on 18 teams. In 1996, we registered over 1,000 children, formed our first Spring Select Traveling Program, participated in tournaments, and provided diversified year-round program. In 1997, we participated in Area All-Star Play. In 1998, we had 1250 players.
